- Clinical Manager, Life Works Community, Central London. Alison set up and managed an Intensive Evening Programme for the treatment of addictions, eating disorders, and related mental health issues. Alison supervised the clinical team at Lifeworks residential programme in Old Woking.
- Clinical Director of CiC, an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) providing counselling, training, organisational consultancy and specialist critical incident and trauma services to businesses, charities and voluntary sector organisations.
- Treatment Manager, Max Glatt Unit, HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a 31-bed therapeutic community for the treatment of personality disordered offenders with substance addictions. Alison went on to develop and set up the same programme in the Women’s Estate, the first such unit for women in the UK prison system.
- Treatment Manager, St. Luke’s Centre residential addiction treatment programme, London.
- Researched, designed, set up and ran St. Luke’s Centre structured Aftercare programme.
- Clinician, Greenwich House Chemical Dependency Program, New York City, where Alison developed specialist provision for dual diagnosis clients.
